Dr Robert Crichton is a senior resident in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine. Educated at Cardiff Medical School, [he/she/they] subsequently trained in London and Birmingham, obtaining membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) and fellowship of both the Royal College of Anaesthetists (FRCA) and the Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine (FFICM).
Dr Crichton’s subspecialty interests include clinical artificial intelligence, neuroanaesthesia, and neuro–intensive care. As an NHS Clinical Fellow in Clinical AI, he has undertaken evaluation studies in AI-enhanced cardiac imaging including CTCA, Echocardiography and the performance of large language models in healthcare.
In parallel with clinical and research activity, Dr Crichton contributes to medical education. He holds a Clinical Lectureship at University College London and teaches on national and international courses, including Advanced Life Support and the European Trauma Course.
