Akshat Sinha is an Academic Foundation Doctor and medical researcher with a strong focus on cardiometabolic disease, particularly the renal effects of SGLT2 inhibitors. Since 2023, he has contributed to evidence synthesis in cardiovascular therapeutics, including an MSci thesis evaluating renal trajectories in a heart-failure cohort and a systematic review and meta-analysis assessing the mid-term renal impact of SGLT2 inhibitors in heart failure.
Alongside his research in cardiorenal medicine, Akshat has established himself in medical education and clinical simulation. He has held leadership roles in SIMBA (Simulation via Instant Messaging for Bedside Applications) and was awarded a Fellowship for his contributions to global postgraduate education.
Akshat’s broader academic interests include lipid-related rare diseases, metabolic medicine, and quantitative methods in clinical cardiology.
