Hilson Amorim Parente, MD, MSc Dr. Hilson Amorim Parente is a board-certified cardiologist and intensive care especialist at Barra D’Or Hospital, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He holds a medical degree from Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF) and completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UERJ), followed by a Cardiology residency at the Instituto Nacional de Cardiologia (INC), where he also obtained his Master’s degree in Cardiovascular Sciences. Dr. Parente’s research focuses on heart failure, non-invasive telemonitoring, digital health, and critical care cardiology. He has served in leading clinical and coordination roles in ICU and emergency care settings, including as Medical Coordinator at the COVID-19 Field Hospital in Parque dos Atletas, managed by Rede D’Or. He is fluent in Portuguese and English and enjoys traveling and exploring culinary experiences in different cultures.
