Doctor Merna Abouelenien

Merna Mahmoud Abouelenien is a first-year medical intern at Alexandria Main University Hospital, Egypt, with a strong aspiration to specialize in cardiology. Since beginning her research journey in 2021, she has focused almost exclusively on cardiology-related topics, with a growing emphasis on Interventional cardiology. Driven by curiosity and a hands-on mindset, she is especially drawn to the technical aspects of Interventional cardiology, thus she is currently leading her own research projects in this field. Her native language is Arabic, and she speaks English fluently. She is also learning German and currently holds a B1 proficiency level. Outside of medicine, Merna has a long-standing interest in musical instruments and enjoys traveling whenever the opportunity arises.
