Dr Cynthia Maldonado-Garcia is a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the William Harvey Research Institute, Queen Mary University of London. She completed her PhD at the University of Leeds in 2024, where she focused on applying deep learning to retinal imaging data from the UK Biobank for cardiovascular disease risk prediction. Currently, her work leverages AI to better understand aging-related risks and cardiometabolic diseases across diverse, population-scale medical imaging datasets.
