Dr. Leopold Aminde is a physician-scientist and Senior Research Fellow at Griffith University, Australia. His research is dedicated to preventing cardiovascular diseases, with a particular focus on major risk factors such as hypertension, unhealthy diets, smoking and obesity. He applies a combination of epidemiological methods, evidence synthesis, and health economic modelling to support the development of equitable public health policies. In addition to his research, he lectures in epidemiology and evidence-based practice within postgraduate Medicine and Public Health programs. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Public Health and was awarded Fellowship through distinction by the Faculty of Public Health at the Royal College of Physicians (UK).
