Radka Hazuková, M.D., Ph.D., is the cardiologist and the internal medicine specialist, also the supervisor of postgraduate doctors at the University Hospital and Medical Faculty, Palacky University, Olomouc, Czech Republic; Head of the Department of Cardiology and Internal Medicine, Hořice; past Deputy Head of the Department of Internal Medicine, Regional Hospital, Pardubice; past Head of the Department of long-term sicks, Regional Hospital, holding of Hradec Králové region; and the past elected member of the Association of Nuclear Cardiology and the Czech Society of Cardiology (twice). She is the teacher of medical students and the researcher. Since 2012 she has been intererested in oxidative DNA damage (oxidised guanosine and mainly DNA breaks) in cardiovascular medicine. She believes that DNA breaks represent a challenge for cardiovascular medicine. She is a member of European Society of Cardiology as well as Czech Society of Cardiology and Czech Society of Internal Medicine.
