Mariam Louis is a pharmacist and PhD researcher at Universitätsklinikum Bonn, specializing in cardiovascular infections, valvular pathophysiology, and nanomedicine-based therapies. Since 2023, her research has focused on drug delivery systems and preclinical models for infective endocarditis and cardiovascular disease.
She trained as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Early Stage Researcher in Athens and gained senior experience in one of the largest pharmaceutical industries in the MENA region, where she established a nanomedicine laboratory and advanced nanoparticle-based platforms. She has supervised graduate projects, reviews for European Journal of Pharmaceutics and Biopharmaceutics and OpenNano Journal, and has published in European Heart Journal and PLOS ONE. Louis holds a Master’s in Nanomedicine from Angers University and a Bachelor of Pharmacy from Alexandria University. Fluent in Arabic, English, and French, she values collaboration, cultural exchange, and interdisciplinary research.
