Joao Paulo is a medical intern and Master’s student in Biosciences at UNILA. He holds a degree in Hospital Management from Universidade Cruzeiro do Sul (São Paulo). Founder of the Brazilian Academic League of Lifestyle Medicine (LABMEV) and co-founder of the health startup MEVIDA, he received the Donald Peggy Award from the American College of Lifestyle Medicine, becoming the second Brazilian to do so. He worked as a telemedicine supervisor during the COVID-19 pandemic and has reviewed scientific papers on the topic. He is also a reviewer for PLOS ONE and has presented research at national and international congresses, including in Curaçao and Dubai, earning second place at the 5th CBMEV Brazil. His areas of interest include lifestyle medicine, digital health, and hospital management. He enjoys football, traveling, and exploring traditional foods. He speaks Portuguese, Spanish, and English.
