Silvana Molossi, MD, PhD, graduated from Federal University of Pelotas, Brazil, completed fellowship in pediatric cardiology at Hospital For Sick Children and received her doctorate from University of Toronto, Canada. She joined Baylor College of Medicine, Department of Pediatrics, Cardiology Division, Texas Children’s Hospital, in 03/2011. She has been involved in screening athletes for >20 years, is the Vice-President of Science for the Championship Hearts Foundation and is on the Medical Advisory Board for the National Coronary Anomalies Foundation. She served as the Co-Chair of the Sports Cardiology Section for the ACC (2013-2016). In the past 12 years, established the first Coronary Artery Anomalies Program and has co-founded the International Coronary Artery Anomalies Collaborative (ICAAC), furthering the knowledge in CAA. She serves as the Medical Director of the Coronary Artery Anomalies Program and Associate Chief for the Division of Cardiology at Texas Children’s Hospital.
