Katarzyna Nabrdalik is professor of medicine at Medical University of Silesia, Zabrze , Poland and is a specialist in Internal Medicine, Diabetology and Nephrology at Department of Internal Medicine, Diabetology and Nephrology of Medical University of Silesia, Zabrze, Poland. Her main research interest is related to the assessment of cardiovascular risk in people with chronic kidney diseases and diabetes. She cooperates in this term with Prof. Gregory Lip from the University of Liverpool where she has spent several months completing a scientific internship. She is a member of European Association for the Study of Diabetes, European Renal Association, Diabetes Poland and the co-author of the 2025 Guidelines for the Management of Diabetes in Poland. Since 2013 she has been involved as an investigator in several clinical trials related to assessing new drugs among people with diabetes including: SUSTAIN - 6, PIONEER 5, SCORED, FIGARO- DKD, FIDELIO - DKD, FOCUS, FLOW.
