Katharina is a doctoral student in medicine and an intensive care nurse at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. Since early 2024, she has been a member of Dr Alessio Alogna’s research team, working on translational models of heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) using large animal models. Alongside the doctoral research, Katharina continues to work clinically at the German Heart Center at Charité (DHZC), combining bedside experience with scientific insight. Her main interests include cardiovascular hemodynamics, experimental cardiology, and translational approaches to heart failure.
