Juan Murillo is a clinical psychologist specializing in health psychology and behavioral medicine. His work focuses on the psychological aspects of chronic illness, particularly in patients with cardiovascular diseases. He currently practices in a hospital setting, providing psychological care to patients with heart failure and other cardiac conditions. In addition to his clinical work, Juan develops psychoeducational materials tailored for patients with low literacy levels and elderly caregivers. His research and teaching interests include the psychological impact of chronic illness, patient adherence to treatment, and emotional regulation strategies in medical contexts. He has also been invited to deliver courses and workshops on emotional regulation and burnout prevention for healthcare professionals and educators.
