Dr. Stavroula N. Psychari is an interventional electrophysiologist with an interest in AF and device theraphy. Since 2001 she was appointed as a Consultant Interventional Electrophysiologist and Interventional Cardiologist at Nikea General Hospital, one of the biggest hospitals in Athens, Greece. She was born in Sparta and received her Medical Degree from Aristotelian University, Thessaloniki. She trained in Cardiology at Onassis Cardiac Surgery Center, a tertiary hospital with strong academic orientation, received the ‘Cardiology Specialist’ Boards in 1996 and awarded a Doctorate Degree for her thesis entitled: “Cardiac denervation after radiofrequency ablation of supraventricular tachycardias” from Athens University in 1999. She has a specialist qualification for Interventional Cardiology granted from the Greek Ministry of Health. In 1996 and 2025 she worked and trained in electrophysiology at St. Bartholomew’s Hospital, London, UK. Research interests: AF physiology, pacing, CAD.
