Professor Ingo Eitel

Professor Dr. Ingo Eitel obtained the board certification in internal medicine, cardiology, intensive care medicine and cardiac magnetic magnetic resonance. He currently holds the positions of Professor of Cardiology and Director of the University Heart Center Lübeck, Germany. Prof Eitel’s research areas include interventional cardiology (TAVI, mitral clip, tricuspid clip, interventional left atrial appendage occlusion), acute coronary syndrome, reperfusion injury, cardioprotection, cardiogenic shock, CMR and Takotsubo cardiomyopathy. Prof Eitel has acted as faculty in numerous national and international meetings and has won several research awards including the Andreas Grüntzig award for interventional cardiology of the German Society of Cardiology, where he currently chairs the cluster cardiovascular imaging. He is also a member of several working groups of the (ESC) and joins several Editorial Boards of international peer-reviewed cardiovascular journals.
