Ms Fabienne Bruggisser

Fabienne Bruggisser is a PhD candidate at the Department of Sport, Exercise and Healt at the University of Basel. Her research focuses on the timing of physical activity and its effects on health and performance. In particular, she is investigating the impact of exercise timing on metabolic health, with a focus on sport as a primary prevention strategy. As part of her PhD project, the EPOCH study (Effects of Physical exercise timing On strength and Cardiometabolic Health), she has developed expertise in performing oral glucose tolerance tests (OGTT) and is highly skilled in placing peripheral venous catheters for metabolic assessment. Outside of her academic work, Fabienne enjoys cycling, hiking and camping.
