Christian Meyer has a clinical and scientific focus on the pathophysiologically guided interventional treatment of complex arrhythmias in patients with structural heart disease. 2009 he joined the advanced program in interventional electrophysiology by the European Heart Rhythm Association while he won several research awards. 2011-2014 he was section head of the Department of Electrophysiology before he has been called to join the University Heart Center Hamburg. There he is currently the acting Director of the Department of Cardiology specializing in Electrophysiology at the University Heart and Vessel Center Hamburg.
