Dr. Andrés Rosende is a cardiologist with a master’s degree in Clinical Effectiveness, specializing in Epidemiology and Clinical Research from the University of Buenos Aires - Institute for Clinical Effectiveness and Health Policy. After many years of clinical practice in different settings, from intensive care unit to outpatient care, he served as the coordinator of the National Program of Cardiovascular Disease Prevention at the Ministry of Health of Argentina. Since mid 2021, he has worked as an International WHO/PAHO Consultant for the HEARTS in the Americas Initiative. In this role, he has been involved in designing practical tools for primary healthcare teams, publishing scientific papers, and providing technical assistance to ministries of health across 33 countries and territories in the Region of the Americas.
