Dr. Iglesias holds a BSc in Pharmacy (2007) from the University of Salamanca. She continued her studies with a MSc in Molecular & Cellular Biology (2008) and an International PhD Degree in Biomedical Research from the University of Navarra (2013). Specialist in cellular biology and cardiac tissue engineering. She completed her training at the Center of Regenerative Medicine in Barcelona (2020). Since the beginning of her research career she has been dedicated to the cardiovascular research, contributing to the advancement in the development of new advanced therapies in cardiac regeneration. Currently her research at the Center for Applied Medical Research (CIMA University of Navarra) is focuses on the generation of new advanced disease models for cardiac amyloidosis based on the latest technologies in cell reprogramming, biofabrication and biomaterials, where to test potential new treatments of therapeutic outcomes, within an all-human setting.
