Dr. Mason is the Chief of Cardiac Electrophysiology at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, Virginia, USA. She has held that position since 2018. While her clinical practice includes the full breadth of electrophysiology procedures, she has particular interest in complex pacemaker and ICD management. She operates a high-volume lead extraction center. From a research standpoint, she focuses on device infections, device-related tricuspid valve disease, and novel pacemaker and defibrillator product development. Education is an important part of her career, and in the past, she has been program director for both the Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship and Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship at the University of Viginia. In 2024, she became the Chair-Elect for the American College of Cardiology Electrophysiology Council. Her husband is also an electrophysiologist and together with their two sons, they enjoy travel and sports.
