Paula Lilkova holds an MSci in Exercise Science from the University of Aberdeen and an MSc in Cardiovascular Health and Rehabilitation from the University of Chester. She is currently a cardiac physiology apprentice with University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust. With a strong background in exercise science and experience in cardiac rehabilitation, Paula is passionate about prevention and lifestyle medicine. Her interests centre on integrating acute diagnostics and interventions in cardiac physiology with preventative strategies involving physical activity, nutrition, and medical management to provide holistic, patient-centred care. Her recent research explored sex-based differences in medication tolerance in a real-world cardiac rehabilitation setting. Paula is also a qualified personal trainer. She speaks Slovak, Spanish, and English, and enjoys surfing, dancing, hiking, and travelling.
