I graduated from the 1 Leningrad Medical Institute named after Academician I.P. Pavlov (Leningrad, USSR) in 1988. In 1989-1990 he studied as a clinical resident at the Leningrad State Institute for Advanced Medical Studies (Leningrad, USSR). In 1990-1993 he studied at the graduate school of the University of Physical Culture named after Lesgaft (St. Petersburg, Russia). Later he worked in various positions in clinics and universities in St. Petersburg. In 2008-2011, he worked as Deputy Director of the Research Institute of Physical Culture (St. Petersburg, Russia). 1994 to 2022, he worked as a professor at the Department of Therapy at the State Medical Pediatric University. From 2018 to 2022, he worked as a professor at the Department of Sports Medicine and Medical Rehabilitation of the 1 Sechenov Moscow State Medical University (Sechenov University) (Moscow, Russia). Since 2022 senior research of Dep. Cardiac, Thoracic and Vascular Sciences, University of Padova, Italy
