Professor Aleksander Prejbisz

National Institute of Cardiology, Warsaw (Poland)

Head of the Department of Epidemiology, Prevention of Cardiovascular Diseases and Health Promotion of the National Institute of Cardiology. He is the principal investigator of the third edition of the WOBASZ epidemiological study, which will be conducted in 2025-2026. President of the Polish Society of Hypertension for the 2020-2022 term, he is also a member of the Polish Society of Cardiology, the European Society of Cardiology and the European Society of Hypertension. He is the author of numerous scientific articles in respected journals in Poland and abroad, as well as the author and co-author of many monographs, mainly on hypertension, secondary hypertension (primary aldosteronism and PPGLs), metabolic diseases, obesity, cardiovascular disease prevention and healthy lifestyles. Prof. Aleksander Prejbisz's oeuvre includes more than 150 original papers, 200 review papers, 43 case studies with a total IF of more than 800 and h-Index of 38.
