CNR Institute of Genetic and Biomedical Research, Milan (Italy)
Daniele Catalucci is the Research Director at the Institute of Genetic and Biomedical Research (IRGB) of the National Research Council (CNR) in Milan. He also leads the Signal Transduction in Cardiac Pathologies Lab at Humanitas Research Hospital, Milan. Dr. Catalucci graduated from the University of Rome "Roma Tre" in 1999 and earned his PhD in molecular and cellular biology from the University of Rome "Tor Vergata" in 2003. Supported by a Marie Curie Outgoing International fellowship, he conducted postdoctoral studies at the Department of Medicine, University of California San Diego, USA. By the end of 2007, Dr. Catalucci returned to Italy, where he established his own research group at CNR. In 2022, he co-founded NanoPhoria, a CNR spinoff and biotech company dedicated to developing disruptive, precisely delivered biological inhalable therapeutics for patients suffering from widespread and incapacitating heart diseases.
