A nurse with 30 years experience in cardiovascular care as a nurse, educator and researcher. Experience in supporting nurses and non-medical practitioners in developing skills and knowledge in advanced practice and research skills and knowledge through taught postgraduate programmes and doctoral studies. An established programme of research in cardiovascular care working mainly within the area of recognition and support of heart failure symptoms and management for both patients and their informal caregivers. This programme of research involves collaboration with cardiovascular health care practitioners nationally in the UK and Internationally in Europe, USA and Australia.
