Doctor Quan Dang

Dr Dang is a full-time PhD candidate at the University of Sydney. He performs research into spontaneous coronary artery dissection, an increasingly recognised cause of acute myocardial infarction particularly in young people without traditional cardiovascular risk factors, under the supervision of Associate Professor Sarah Zaman. He also works as a casual cardiology registrar at St George Hospital, Sydney, Australia. Dr Dang obtained his MD degree in 2010 and completed Basic Physician Training in 2022 at St George Hospital. He had two years of training in interventional cardiology at Gia Dinh People's Hospital, Vietnam. Dr Dang is also an enthusiastic martial artist with a nidan (2nd degree) black belt in Shotokan Karatedo and has competed in regional Karatedo championships.
