Douglas E. Romer M.D. graduated from the University of Dayton and then St. Louis University School of Medicine. Dr. Romer completed his residency at Miami Valley Hospital and is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. He was in private practice from 1985-2021. Dr. Romer is passionate about physicians promoting and leading the change in health care. He is a strong advocate of using highly successful business quality theory principles to improve medical quality. Dr. Romer was a board member or Chairman of the Board of PriMED Physicians from 2001-2021. He also served as their Chief Medical Officer from 2012-2021. In addition, he was on the board of MediSync Inc. from 2001-2019 and serves as their Vice President, Clinical Care Improvement, 2019-present. Dr. Romer is an avid mountain climber having summited Mount Rainer in Washington and Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa. He also enjoys snow & water skiing, biking, and golf. Dr. Romer is married with 4 children and 10 grandchildren.
