I am a pediatrician and pediatric cardiologist at the University of Padua, where I have been pursuing my PhD since October 2023. My research focuses on cardio-oncology, particularly in children undergoing anthracycline therapy and hematopoietic stem cell transplantation. I combine advanced echocardiographic imaging with metabolomic profiling to better understand cardiovascular effects in this vulnerable population. In January 2025, I began an academic fellowship in cardio-oncology at The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. My current work investigates acute and chronic changes in myocardial and vascular stiffness using shear wave imaging. Pediatric cardio-oncology remains a relatively underexplored field, and I am passionate about contributing to its growth through innovative, multidisciplinary research. I speak English and German. Outside of medicine, I enjoy hiking and watching sunsets from mountain peaks—moments that remind me of nature’s beauty and the importance of balance.
