Dr. Jackson is nationally recognized for her expertise in eHealth, cardiovascular prevention, behavioral interventions, and women’s heart health. She is Chair for the American Heart Association’s Committee on Social Determinants of Health and Vice Chair for the AHA Council on Quality of Care and Outcomes Research. She has been an editorial board member of ACC.org, and she is currently on the editorial board for Circulation’s Cardiovascular Quality and Outcomes Journal. Dr. Jackson received her medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine and her MPH from Harvard University. She came to UAB in April of 2018 after 11 years at the University of Michigan, where she was the Associate Director of the Michigan Clinical Outcomes Research and Reporting Program (MCORRP) and Director of the Women’s Heart Program.
