Associate Professor at the University of Liverpool and imaging Cardiologist, at Liverpool Heart and Chest Hospital. Dr Fairbairn trained in the north of England and Toronto General Hospital, Canada. He has worked in Liverpool since 2014, practising echocardiography, Cardiac MRI and Cardiac CT. His clinical work spans structural interventions, valve disease, cardiomyopathies and coronary disease (prevention). He sits on the Board of SCCT and BSCI, is a Guideline committee member for SCCT and associate editor at JCCT. He is on the EACVI CT accreditation working group, BHF Translational awards committee and NICE's technology appraisal panel. Academically he is the CI of FISH& CHIPS and collaborates widely. Speaks English and French (badly)
