Mr Eric Invers-Rubio

Institute of Biomedical Research August Pi Sunyer (IDIBAPS), Barcelona (Spain)

Eric obtained his BSc in Biomedical Engineering in Universitat de Barcelona in 2017, and in 2019 he got his MSc in Biomedical Engineering focused in Radiology and Medical Imaging in Belgium, in Vrije Universiteit Brussel and Universiteit Gent. During his student years he got the chance to travel, one of his favourite hobbies. He was able to participate in several research projects involving medical imaging data and radiology departments, such as during his MSc internship in Lima, Peru, and his MSc thesis in Brussels, Belgium, where he could learn about methods to perform image data analysis to quantify pulmonary ventilation in animal experiments. Nowadays, he is part of the Personalize AF Marie-Curie network in IDIBAPS (Barcelona, Spain). During his years as part of this network, he has been implementing methods to non-invasively assess the arrhythmogenicity of the atrial substrate and has been collaborating in conduction system pacing projects for cardiac resynchronization therapy.

Local conduction velocities determined by non-invasive electrocardiographic imaging predict arrhythmia-free survival after pulmonary vein isolation
