Dr. Sadiya Khan is the Magerstadt Professor of Cardiovascular Epidemiology and Associate Professor of Medicine and Preventive Medicine, Director of the Center of Population Science and Aging, and preventive cardiologist at the Northwestern Feinberg School of Medicine. Dr. Khan's clinical expertise and research focus on epidemiology, risk prediction, and risk-based prevention of cardiovascular disease. Dr. Khan's research efforts are supported by multiple grants from the National Institutes of Health and the American Heart Association. Dr. Khan has published over 320 peer-reviewed scientific research publications in leading medical journals and has an h-index of 43. Her original science has been highlighted by the AHA as among the Top Advances in Heart Disease Research for four consecutive years (2020-2023). She is an Associate Editor at JAMA Cardiology and serves in key leadership roles within the AHA/ACC, including as the Chair of the AHA Working Group that developed PREVENT.
