Before pursuing med school, I trained as a paramedic, which laid the foundation for my enthusiasm for emergency medicine. Since 2021, I have been a dedicated volunteer with SINUS Linz, an organization committed to increasing lay rescuer participation through BLS training. In addition to offering these trainings, we regularly conduct scenario-based exercises and advanced courses to enhance clinical skills. Since 2023, I have served as the chairman of SINUS Linz, further deepening my passion for acute cardiac care, especially cardiac arrest. Between 2022 and 2024, I worked part-time in the medical intensive care unit alongside my studies. This role provided invaluable experience in managing acute illnesses and strengthened my interest in clinical decision-making. My innate curiosity and drive to seek answers to complex medical questions also led me to embark on my first research projects, guided by inspiring mentors.
