The majority of my professional work is associated with the intensive cardiac care and invasive cardiology. In the spectrum of my professional interests lies optimization of myocardial infarction care and the most severe patients with acute and chronic heart failure. Now I work as a Head of Cardiology Department at the University Hospital in Opole where I moved from Silesian Centre for Heart Diseases in Zabrze. My scientific work focus on epidemiology and long-term prognosis of acute cardiovascular diseases along with the analysis of the impact of the diagnostic and therapeutic process on epidemiological indicators. I am an expert in the field of design, implementation and analysis of clinical registers and large databases (PL-ACS, AMI-PL, SILSTROKE registries). I am currently President-Elect of Polish Cardiac Society.
