Born in Taiwan, Dr. Monica Lo moved to the United States with her family when she was 12. She graduated with honors from Rice University, and then received her medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She stayed at UT Southwestern to complete her internal medicine residency and fellowships in cardiology and clinical cardiac electrophysiology. She subsequently moved to Little Rock, Arkansas, to establish a complex arrhythmia ablation program at the Arkansas Heart Hospital. The program is now one of the busiest in the world. Dr. Lo has led several clinical trials, including the TactiSense IDE and PERSIST-END IDE trials. She also serves as the Medical Director for Right Rhythm Monitoring, a remote cardiac monitoring service. During her time off, she loves to travel, eat good food, and spend time with her family. Besides English, she speaks Mandarin and Taiwanese.
