Sunhuo Li is a dedicated PhD candidate at the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG), where he has been advancing transformative research in heart failure with preserved ejection fraction (HFpEF) since late 2020. Specializing in translational medicine, he employs a murine HFpEF model to investigate disease mechanisms and potential therapeutic interventions, aiming to bridge preclinical findings with clinical applications. With a strong commitment to scientific rigor and interdisciplinary collaboration, S. Li's work focuses on unraveling the complex pathophysiology of HFpEF while advocating for novel therapy in HFpEF. Beyond academia, he is an ardent animal welfare advocate, actively supporting initiatives that promote humane treatment in scientific and community settings. Fluent in English and Chinese, he engages seamlessly in international scientific discourse and cultural exchanges.
