Simone Marschner is a Senior Biostatistician with over 20 years of experience in government, industry and academia, and is currently a PhD candidate doing research in gestational diabetes and pre-eclampsia and innovative interventions to reduce the risk future diabetes diagnoses and cardiovascular outcomes. She is a Senior Biostatistician at Westmead Applied Research Centre, University of Sydney. Qualifications are a MSc (La Trobe University) and BSc (Hons) (University of Melbourne), both in Statistics. She has worked as a statistician in the industry at Mars Inc. and the pharmaceutical company Eli Lily, in the government with the Department of Conservation and Environment and in academia at the Center for Biostatistics in AIDS Research in the School of Public Health at Harvard University and at the NHMRC Clinical Trials Centre at the University of Sydney. Simone is an avid reader.
