Manuel Martínez-Sellés is a Professor of Medicine at the Universidad Europea de Madrid and an Associate Professor at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, Spain. He is also Head of Acute Cardiac Care Unit (Department of Cardiology) Hospital General Universitario Gregorio Marañón, Madrid. Professor Martínez-Sellés is the president of the College of Physicians, Madrid, and of the Spanish Society of Cardiovascular Infections. He is vice president of the Interprofessional Association of the Madrid Region and past vice president of the Ethics Committee of Hospital Gregorio Marañón. He is also a past president of the Section on Geriatric Cardiology – Spanish Society of Cardiology. Professor Martínez-Sellés has been awarded 20 national and international awards. He has a H index (Web of science or Scopus) of 45 and has also published over 400 peer-reviewed publications.
