Dr. Matías Calandrelli is a cardiologist with a Master's in AI and Big Data from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. He specializes in integrating AI into healthcare to optimize clinical workflows and enhance diagnostic precision. Currently, he serves as a researcher at Hospital Sant Pau (Barcelona) and a collaborator researcher at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center. Matías is the founder of several projects in cardiology and emerging technologies. He leads AI-HEART, an innovative project that uses AI to predict heart conditions through a stethoscope, and RAPID-AIM, focused on automating the analysis of cardiac magnetic resonance imaging. He is also working on the automation of ECG reports and mobile applications for managing chronic conditions such as heart failure and post-transplant care.
