Associate Professor Youakim Saliba

Youakim Saliba is an academic in the field of health sciences. He holds a PhD in Physiology and Pathophysiology from Sorbonne University and is currently engaged as an associate professor at the Faculty of Medicine at the Saint Joseph University of Beirut, where he has been serving since 2012 at the Laboratory of Research in Physiology and Pathophysiology. Dr. Saliba also holds an academic editor position at the journal Cardiovascular Therapeutics. His research focuses on cardiovascular physiology and pathophysiology, contributing significantly to the understanding of cardiac and renal fibrosis mechanisms. He is also a prolific author, having published numerous articles in high-impact journals. Dr. Saliba has been honored with several international awards, including the International Union of Physiological Sciences Award and multiple awards from the Federation of European Physiological Societies, underscoring his role as a key contributor to the field of health sciences.
