Dr. Louise Bjerregaard is a postdoctoral research fellow at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Harvard Medical School, collaborating with the HCM Clinic at Lahey Hospital. She completed medical school in 2019 and began clinical training, which she continued until starting her PhD in 2022. Her doctoral research at Aarhus University Hospital in Denmark focused on a randomized trial investigating beta blockers and calcium channel blockers in non-obstructive HCM. In 2025, she joined the research fellowship in Boston, dividing her time between Beth Israel and Lahey. Her research centers on HCM, with a focus on generating clinically relevant evidence. She has led key aspects of clinical trials, including protocol development, regulatory submissions, recruitment, and data oversight. Her work is driven by a strong commitment to improving patient care through evidence-based research. Outside of work, she enjoys being outdoors, staying active, and has a lifelong love of horses and dogs.
