Mr Bart Scheenaerts

European Society of Cardiology, Sophia-Antipolis (France)

Bart is a member of the ESC Patient Forum, contributing to patient-centered advocacy and guidelines. Based on his personal experience - unfortunate yet extremely lucky at the same time - in aortic disease, dissection, stroke, obesity and partial vision loss, he contributes to ESC projects encompassing preventive and treatment topics. As ESC patient forum member, Bart co-authored the 2024 Hypertension and Elevated Blood Pressure Guidelines. As interim manager, Bart helps organizions scale-up, in the field of digital & AI and data science. In the early 2010's, he contributed - amongst others - to digitization of end-to-end traceability and serialization of pharmaceutical packaging. Bart holds an executive MBA degree from Flanders Business School (Antwerp, Belgium) since 2008. He is currently pursuing an additional MSc degree in Information Management & Enterprise Architecture (incl. AI) at the IC Institute (Belgium)
