Dr. Tao completed his undergraduate studies in Neuroscience at New York University and went on to obtain his MD degree at Stony Brook University School of Medicine. He subsequently trained at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center for internal medicine residency and returned to Stony Brook University School of Medicine to complete fellowship in Cardiovascular Medicine. He has presentations and publications across multiple areas of cardiology including cardiovascular imaging, coronary intervention, acute cardiovascular care, electrophysiology, and heart failure. His personal interests include guitar, piano, body building, and ethnic cuisines.
