My name is Vito Maria Daniele Cormaci and I am studying to become an internal medicine physician. For some time, I have been passionate about both new and old anticoagulant therapies (DOACs and VKAs) used in the prevention of ischemic stroke in patients with atrial fibrillation as well as in the prevention of venous thromboembolism. Recently, my area of interest has particularly focused on the study of anticoagulation in that specific cohort of patients with atrial fibrillation and cancer, for whom clinical research has yet to provide satisfactory answers.

Use of direct oral anticoagulants in patients with atrial fibrillation and cancer: a subanalysis of the nationwide Italian START registry.
