Davide Antonio Mei is a Cardiologist at the Cardiology Division of the A.O. Policlinico di Modena, Italy, and a second-year PhD student in Clinical and Experimental Medicine at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia, under the supervision of Prof. Giuseppe Boriani. Since 2023, he is also a Research Fellow at the Liverpool Centre for Cardiovascular Science, directed by Prof. Gregory Y.H. Lip. His interest in cardiology and clinical research dates back to Medical School at the University of Florence, where he graduated in 2018 with a thesis on hypertrophic cardiomyopathy. He subsequently began his residency in Cardiology at the Policlinico di Modena, where he developed a growing interest in the field of cardiac arrhythmias and completed his training in 2023. His main research fields are atrial fibrillation—including epidemiology, stroke prevention, catheter ablation, and management in multimorbid patients—as well as implantable cardiac device therapy, AHRE and remote monitoring.
