Doctor Cemil Izgi

Dr Cemil Izgi studied medicine at Hacettepe University, Ankara, Turkey. After graduating from Hacettepe University in 2000, he did his cardiology training in Kosuyolu Heart and Research Hospital between 2000 and 2005 in Istanbul Turkey. He then worked as a cardiologist at Gaziosmanpasa Hospital in Istanbul until 2011 practising both invasive and noninvasive cardiology. He moved to London-UK in 2012 to start training in cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) at the Royal Brompton Hospital. Currently, he is still working at the CMR Unit of Royal Brompton Hospital. He has broad interest in clinical cardiology with expertise on the clinical applications of CMR. Dr Izgi is a fellow of the European Society of Cardiology and Society of Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance and previously served as an elected nucleus member of the Valvular Heart Disease Working Group of the European Society of Cardiology.
